MARC for Medical Services and Scientific Research is a newly established integrative research center that aims to advance science by translating and applying scientific discoveries into practice.
The center was inaugurated in 2022 in presence of esteemed individuals who have played pivotal roles in the realms of healthcare and research.
MARC performs activities in three distinct and harmonized areas, supporting different stages of research through discovery, preclinical and clinical phases.
1- MARC Contrac Research Organization (MARC-CRO) that covers all major therapeutic areas, including specialty, rare diseases, and medical devices. MARC-CRO is officially registered at the Ministry of Health & Population (MOH), Central Administration of Research & Health Development, and conducts clinical trials under the Egyptian Drug Authority's (EDA) oversight.
L 2- MARC Bioequivalence Center (MARC-BE) that is officially licensed by the EDA and conducts bioequivalence studies with in-house scientific and regulatory expertise. MARC-BE carries out all study processes, from study design and protocol writing to the final study report issuance, focusing on compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements.
The center is equipped with the latest equipment used for advanced technologies. The two- floor center includes a ground floor with designated spaces for housing, sampling & a fully equipped Intensive Care Unit. The other floor includes besides the laboratories, areas for data processing, data archiving & working spaces.”
3- MARC Bioscience Research Laboratories Hub is a leading provider of integrated basic and translational research. MARC’s multidisciplinary highly motivated team of scientists and researchers who are dedicated to developing patentable technologies that can lead to life-saving products.
MARC state-of-art laboratories are equipped with the latest technologies to support all phases of research, from discovery to development. A wide range of services is offered to support the scientific community through its different highly equipped units: Biorepository (biobank) Unit, Molecular Biology Unit, Genomics Unit, Immunology Unit, Cell Culture Unit, Nanotechnology Unit, and Bioinformatics Unit.
